YOUR BIOME MAP

Enter your seed and see where every biome lies and where villages, temples, ancient cities, trial chambers and 18 more structures stand, plus geodes, fossils, ravines, ore veins and single ores like diamonds – Overworld, Nether and End – with end gateways and end islands –, exactly like Minecraft 26.3. With terrain, contour lines, slime chunks, world border and your own pins – one click shows coordinates, cave biomes and Nether coordinates.

66 BIOMES
13 ORE TYPES
22 STRUCTURES
JAVA 26.3

Markers

Drag to pan, wheel or +/− to zoom. A click opens coordinates, biome, the cave biomes below, chunk and Nether coordinates. A right click (on phones: long press) drops your own pin right away, ready to be named. The moon button switches between day and night mode. Clicking an icon shows the structure with wiki links, and you can mark it as done. "Structures" and "Ores" switch the markers; ores, geodes and fossils appear when zoomed in, ravines as dark bands, iron and copper veins as tinted areas. Dashed icons are estimates: desert pyramids, jungle temples and woodland mansions need enough terrain height, which the map only approximates.

My seeds

Stored in this browser only. “Load” opens the seed again.

    My pins

Every pin of this seed, in every dimension. A click jumps there on the map.

      How the map is made

      • Exactly like the game: the map uses Minecraft 26.3's biome generator – climate noise from cubiomes, the biome table read straight from the game code. At over 50,000 test points every biome matches Minecraft, the new Dappled Forests and Sulfur Caves included.
      • Surface shows the biome you stand in on the surface – in mountains too, where a fixed height would already be cave. With a fixed height you see the cave biomes: Lush Caves, Dripstone Caves, Deep Dark and Sulfur Caves.
      • Structures follow the rules of Minecraft 26.3 – spacing and salt from the game data, the biome checked exactly where the game checks it, the new Abandoned Camp included. Compared with /locate on a real 26.3 server, villages, outposts, monuments, ancient cities, trial chambers, fortresses, bastions, end cities and all the others match exactly. Only desert pyramids, jungle temples and woodland mansions also depend on the terrain height – the map estimates it (dashed icons, about 75–100 % right).
      • Ores: zoomed in close, the map shows every ore vein with its Y level – diamonds, emeralds, gold, iron, lapis, redstone, copper and in the Nether ancient debris, nether quartz and nether gold. The veins follow the same random numbers as the game; compared with a real 26.3 server the map hits practically every block of ancient debris, nether quartz, redstone and lapis and over 90% of diamonds. Whether a block really ends up as ore depends on stone being there – where a cave touches the vein, some are missing. Dashed ore icons are estimates (emeralds depend on the exact mountain height).
      • Geodes, fossils, desert wells, ravines and ore veins follow the rules of Minecraft 26.3 too – ravines with their whole path, iron and copper veins with the new noise of 26.x. Compared with real 26.3 worlds, every geode, fossil, well and raw iron block was where the map shows it, and every computed ravine point was air. Whether a geode or fossil is finally built still depends on the terrain (caves, slopes).
      • Slime chunks follow the same formula as the game: below Y 40 slimes can spawn there at any light level. The terrain shading is an estimate of the height (about 5 blocks off on average) and makes mountains and valleys visible.
      • Text seeds are turned into a number by Minecraft with String.hashCode – the map does the same, so “Glacier” or your name work as a seed too.

Biome generation: cubiomes (MIT license, Cubitect) with the biome table, Nether and End rules of Minecraft 26.3. Everything is calculated in your browser, the seed never leaves your computer. For the Java Edition.
