Write a Minecraft book with a title, an author and as many pages as you like – with colours, formatting, links to other pages and click commands. The preview shows every page as in game, and you get the finished /give command.

Settings
Signing in game allows only 16 characters, a command up to 32.
A book and quill has no title and only plain text – but it can still be edited and signed in game.
Pages
A page has 14 lines of 114 pixels each – the preview wraps exactly like the game. Press Enter for a new paragraph.

Turn pages with the arrows in the book. Text with a tooltip shows it on hover, and page links jump to their page just like in game.
Commands
Book commands are almost always too long for chat – here is how with a command block
- Chat allows only 256 characters, a command block holds up to 32,500. Even two pages usually no longer fit into chat.
- Get a command block (Creative mode, cheats on):
/give @s command_block - Place it, open it with a right click, paste the copied command and click “Done”.
- Power it with a button or lever –
@pthen gives the book to the nearest player. - For the lectern pick “Above the command block” (
~ ~1 ~) above, otherwise the command block itself would be replaced.
