About Minecraft Capes
Facts about the exclusive capes
What are capes?
Capes are special cloaks only awarded by Mojang. They are purely cosmetic items with no gameplay effects.
Obtaining Capes
Capes are awarded for special achievements: MineCon attendance, translation help, working at Mojang or special events.
Important Note
Official capes cannot be purchased or obtained through mods. Unauthorized cape mods lead to account bans.
Cross-Platform
Capes are visible on all platforms (Java & Bedrock) and are synchronized via your Microsoft account.
