Commands

How it works

  • /setblock places the filled container right at the position – ~ ~ ~ is where you stand. A large chest is two blocks and so two commands; the right half holds the top three rows.
  • /give gives you the container as an item with the contents – place it and everything is inside. Shulker boxes keep their contents when you break them, too.
  • Chat allows at most 256 characters. Copy longer commands into a command block (up to 32,500 characters) – the generator tells you when.
  • The commands need operator rights or a world with cheats. Items that do not exist in your version yet stay empty up to 1.20.4 and are rejected with an error from 1.20.5.

All three command formats are tested on real servers (1.13.2, 1.16.5, 1.20.4, 1.20.6, 1.21.4, 1.21.6, 1.21.11 and 26.3) – including which half of the large chest is on top (from the 26.3 game code).
