Good to know
- With one gunpowder up to seven stars fit into the crafting table, with three gunpowder still five. A recipe always gives three rockets.
- Rockets with stars deal damage when they explode: 5 plus 2 per star, weaker up to 5 blocks away. For flying with elytra, use rockets without stars.
- Three or more stars or a large ball make a louder bang. Twinkle makes the firework last 15 ticks longer and ends with a crackle.
- A dispenser fires rockets in the direction it faces – point it up and wire it with redstone to build whole firework shows.
- Drag to turn the camera and use the mouse wheel to zoom. A click into the preview launches a rocket.

How your firework is made
Three steps at the crafting table
Craft a star
Gunpowder, at least one dye and optionally a shape ingredient, a diamond for the trail and glowstone dust for the twinkle.
Add a fade
Put the finished star into the crafting table with more dyes – the sparks then change to these colours as they burn out.
Build the rocket
Paper, one to three gunpowder for the flight duration and your stars make three rockets.
