from the current version all the way back to 1.8.

What is MHF?
MHF stands for "Marc's Head Format". Former Mojang employee Marc Watson created dedicated accounts with fixed mob and block skins so map makers could rely on consistent heads without anyone accidentally changing their skin.
How do I get them?
Open chat (cheats must be enabled) and run the matching /give command from the list below. The head lands straight in your inventory.
Command Syntax by Version
Since Minecraft 1.20.5 the command uses the new profile component. From 1.13 to 1.20.4 you need SkullOwner instead, and before 1.13 (1.8–1.12) the head item was still minecraft:skull with data value 3. Toggle between all three variants above the list.
Important Note
These accounts are ancient placeholder accounts no longer actively maintained by Mojang. They currently work reliably, but there's no guarantee – and you need an internet connection in-game so the skin can load.
