Alpha V 0.1.0
YOUR RESOURCE PACK UPDATER
Upload a resource pack – an old 1.8.9 PvP pack or a brand-new 26.x one – and pick the version you play. You get the pack back fully converted: new file names, big pictures split up or put together and the right pack.mcmeta, for every version from 1.8.9 to 26.x.

Your pack
Alpha version: the Resource Pack Updater is new and still being improved. If something does not work with your pack, report the bug.
No pack loaded yet
The updater tells the version from the file names and the pack.mcmeta. If it gets it wrong, set it right here.
Convert
- Textures get the name of the new version, e.g.
blocks/planks_oak→block/oak_planks. - Up to 1.20.1 hearts, hotbar, buttons and screen parts live in big pictures (
icons.png,widgets.png…); from 1.20.2 on every part has its own file. The updater splits them up or puts them together. - The
pack.mcmetagets the format of the new version; your description and the pack picture stay.

How your pack gets into the game
- Put the downloaded .zip as it is into the
resourcepacksfolder of your Minecraft installation (in the game: Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder) and move it to the right in the list. - With “1.8.9 to 26.3 (one pack for all)” one pack runs in every version. Versions before 1.20 then say “Made for a newer version” – the pack works anyway.
- The report shows what was renamed, split up or put together and what does not exist in the new version. Textures with another size or cut (e.g. villagers before 1.14) are left out for those versions.
- Not converted: file names of own models and block states, sound names (they were different before 1.9), shaders and OptiFine files (CTM, CIT) – they are copied unchanged.
File names, picture places and sizes come from the game files of 30 Minecraft versions (1.8.9 to 26.3); the pack format is checked with the 26.3 code. Everything happens in your browser – your pack never leaves your computer.
